It is one of the best way for online teaching and learning . Now a days because of covid 19,  it is not easy to run physical class nowadays  so Teams play vital role in online teaching and  learning .A few features of Microsoft Teams that are helpful for online learning are saring of assignments with instructors.If instructor uses Microsoft Teams you can receive and submit your class work and homework  on this platform as well.This keeps all of your coursework in one convenient location in case you need to access them later. It is easy to do by sitting in your own room we can say easy learning .Sharing of projects with other students. It is relatively common to be assigned some sort of project in your online classes. While one option is to email your portion back and forth with all of the students in your group, this makes it difficult to keep track of the latest version. Yet, when you use Microsoft Teams,you can all see the most updated pieces of your project so you all know where it stands.The ability to chat with instructors and fellow students. If you need clarification on an assignment, have questions about a test, or need to work together on an upcoming project with your group, Microsoft Teams makes all of this possible. You can even share files in the chat so you all have access to the same documents Online meetings for when you want or need that face-to-face interaction. This feature can be especially helpful if you’re trying to share complex ideas or if you have language differences with others in the online learning group. Plus sometimes it’s just nice to “see” who you’re talking with. It makes the interaction more human because you can see nonverbal cues as well, such as shaking of the head or even something as simple as a smile.                                                                                                                        How to create teams

  1. First, click Teams on the left side of the app, then click Join or create a team at the bottom of your teams list.

  2. Then click create team (first card, top left corner).

  3. Choose Build a team from scratch

  4. Next, you’ll want to choose what kind of team you want this to be:

    To limit content and conversation to a specific set of people, choose Private

    For a community or topic that anyone in the organization can join, choose public

  5. Name your team and add an optional description.

  6. When you're done, click Create       Microsoft Teams features make it stand out from other collaboration software:

    •     Teams and channels. Teams are made up of channels, which are conversation boards between teammates.
    •     Conversations within channels and teams. All team members can view and add to different conversations in the General channel and can use an @ function to invite other members to different conversations, not unlike Slack.
    •     A chat function. The basic chat function is commonly found within most collaboration apps and can take place between teams, groups, and individuals.
    •     Document storage in SharePoint. Every team who uses Microsoft Teams will have a site in SharePoint Online, which will contain a default document library folder. All files shared across all conversations will automatically save to this folder. Permissions and security options can also be customized for sensitive information.
    •     Online video calling and screen sharing. Enjoy seamless and fast video calls to employees within your business or clients outside your business. A good video call feature is great to have on a collaboration platform. One can also enjoy simple and fast desktop sharing for technical assistance and multi-user real-time collaboration.
    •     Online meetings. This feature can help enhance your communications, company-wide meetings, and even training with an online meetings function that can host up to 10,000 users. Online meetings can include anyone outside or inside a business. This feature also includes a scheduling aid, a note-taking app, file uploading, and in-meeting chat messaging.
    •     Audio conferencing. This is a feature you won’t find in many collaboration platforms. With audio conferencing, anyone can join an online meeting via phone. With a dial-in number that spans hundreds of cities, even users that are on the go can participate with no internet required. Note this requires additional licensing.
    •     Full telephony. That’s right! The days of seeking VoIP vendors and overspending on a phone system are finally over. Microsoft  365 Business Voice can completely replace your business’ existing phone system. Note this requires additional licensing. .

Scope of educational technology




 Educational Technology is as wide as Education itself. Educational Technology implies the use of all educational resources Materials, Methods and Techniques, Means and Media in an integrated and systematic manner for optimized learning. The below mentioned technologies are included in it.

Behavioural Technology: Behavioural technology is the important component of Educational Technology. It puts emphasis on the use of psychological principles in learning and teaching so that the behaviour of the teacher and pupils may be modified in accordance of the teaching objectives.

Instructional Technology: Instructional Technology means a network of techniques or devices employed to accomplish certain defined set of learning objectives. Instructional technology implies the application of psychological, sociological and scientific principles and knowledge to instruction for achieving the specific objectives of learning.

Teaching Technology: Teaching is the social and professional activity. It is a process of development teaching is system of actions which induce learning through interpersonal relationship. Teaching technology is the application of philosophical, sociological and scientific knowledge to teaching.

Instructional Design: In order to bring desired changes in the pupils’ behaviour, the teaching situations, working tools and new approaches were considered important in addition to the learning principles. The composite form of all these is instructional design.

Training Psychology: Training psychology is an important method of teaching and learning. Its development resulted out of the research work carried out on the complicated training problems and situations.

Training psychology emphasizes that the whole training task should be divided into three parts. These are:

  • Preparing outline of the task.
  • Task analysis
  • Putting the task in sequence. The main role of training psychology is in Teacher Education.

Cybernetic Psychology: It’s a part of training psychology. Cybernetic psychology accepts human beings as machine. Cybernetic psychology emphasizes the fact that all the methods of feedback bring the desired changes by controlling the behaviour of the pupil.

System Analysis: System Analysis is a problem solving process in which the needs of the management are diagnosed and by using an appropriate method for solving the problem, evaluation is carried out.

If you consider the working areas of Educational Technology includes the following: Curriculum Construction, Teaching-Learning Strategies, Audio-Visual materials, Determining Educational Objectives, Training the teachers, Feedback, Hardware and Software etc. In short, the scope of Educational Technology extends to all resources (human and non-human) for the augmentation and development of education. Thus Educational Technology has a wide scope.
